“Just to say that I have a 512MB disgo lite, which I bought a little while ago and on which I have become totally dependant as a means of carrying round all my essential data. Unfortunately, 2 weeks ago I forgot to remove it from my shirt before putting it in the wash. At the same time, one of my children had also forgotten to remove a pen from their pocket – which subsequently leaked in the wash. This meant that all of the items in the wash had to go through at least once more – in the case of my shirt – twice more as it had been badly stained. It was only when the wash was taken out that my wife found the pen drive in the washing basket – and came to tell me. I cannot tell you how my heart sank – not only did I have a great deal of work elements on it, but I also had my PhD review material that I had just finished producing. It was therefore with some trepidation that I fitted the drive into my computer – and was enormously relieved when all of the data was till there – and completely intact! Now I have learnt lessons about both emptying pockets and backing up data from the incident, but I also wanted to say thank you for producing a pen drive so robust! ”
