When you locate an App from the relevant category list or search, touch the app and then choose to install. You will then have an option to check for ‘Compatibility’ and to ‘Download’ the app.
On completion of download, press the ‘Menu’ icon at the top-right of the screen and then choose ‘SDCard’. Downloaded apps install by default to the MicroSD card. The SlideMe application can be used for downloading and installing apps to the Tablet 6000. This and all other feature applications are located by sliding the Home screen from right to left. You may also install third party Android apps (.apk) to the device. In Tablet settings, ‘Applications’ –> ‘Unknown Sources’ is checked. This confirms that the user agrees to install third party software.
Note: As the Android Operating System is an open source platform, not all apps in the SlideMe marketplace are compatible with the Tablet 6000.
Of the thousands of apps available, some are licensed, some are specifically designed for mobile phones, some are designed to only work on certain chipsets, etc.
Although apps will install to the device, please note that not all apps will execute and run as expected.
In some instances, the message “Android.Process…” or “Force close…” may appear. In these cases, please choose ‘Cancel’ and return out to the main SlideME page. Please attempt the installation a second time. If the installation is not successful, then it is likely that the particular app is not compatible with the device.
