<p>18th April, London, UK. Established tablet manufacturer disgo has today released its eagerly awaited Android 2.3 Over The Air upgrade for its popular 7” disgo Tablet 7000</p>
<p>The Tablet 7000 is now able to offer their owners a speedy and simple  upgrade to their devices</p>
<p>The Android 2.3 upgrade brings many features and improvements :</p>
<p>1.    Enhanced power saving capability<br />
 2.    Enhanced wifi compatibility<br />
 3.    Improved video playback<br />
 4.    New “MyPad” file manager application<br />
 5.    Improved USB device compatibility<br />

<p>Please note the following before carrying out the installation:</p>
<p>This upgrade is only valid for the Tablet 7000 using Android 2.3<br />
 Once the update is complete, it will not be possible to reverse the update.<br />
 Please back up all personal files and app data on both the Tablet memory and memory card before carrying out the update.<br />
 The Tablet will need to be connected to the internet during the upgrade<br />
 Do not touch the screen while the device is booting up after the install.</p>
<p>Please follow the steps outlined below for a successful upgrade.</p>
<p>It is possible to go directly to the mydisgo website via your Tablet in order to download and install the following <a href="http://www.mydisgo.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/update_disgo7000_v2.apk">system-upgrade.apk</a> file. If you choose this option, please go to step 4</p>
<p>Alternatively, please use the following procedure to save the file to your Tablet’s MicroSD card via you PC.</p>
<p>1) Download the <a href="http://www.mydisgo.info/wp-content/uploads/2012/05/update_disgo7000_v2.apk">system-upgrade.apk</a> file to your computer from the mydisgo website.</p>
<p>2) Copy the file to your MicroSD card</p>
<p>Remove the MicroSD card with the Tablet device powered off or use dismount procedure, see user manual at www.mydisgo.info/support<br />
 Connect the MicroSD card to your computer and copy the relevant file to the card. Please note that you may need a MicroSD card reader or adapter when connecting the memory card to your PC.<br />
 Replace the card to the MicroSD card slot.</p>
<p>3) Locate and install the update file.</p>
<p>The update file is located on the MicroSD card memory. This is found via the ‘OI File Manager ’ icon on the application screen. Open the OI File Manager app and press the ‘mnt’ icon, which loads your MicroSD card. Finally, press the ’sdcard1′ icon which will display files on the memory card.</p>
<p>4) Install and run the upgrade</p>
<p>Touch the system update file and choose to install. Choose ‘Check updating’ and finally choose ‘Update System’ when displayed. The installation will then take place. The installation procedure can take up to 20 minutes to complete.</p>
<p>5) After install has finished, press the Back button on the front of the device when requested to finalise the update.</p>
<p>6) Once update is complete the device will restart.</p>
<p>Remove the memory card when requested, the device will reboot once more and you will then be requested to calibrate the</p>

<p><strong>Notice (16/05/12)</strong></p>
<p>For users who have installed this update prior to the 16th of May 2012, please re-install the update.<br />
 The initial update file has been amended and a second update of the device (as outlined below) will resolve the original issues.</p>
<p>For users who continue to have issues with the default web browser crashing in portrait mode, please see the following FAQ which will resolve this issue. Click <a href="http://www.mydisgo.info/archives/2134">here</a> to view this FAQ.<strong> </strong></p>

<p><strong>Please note the following before carrying out the installation:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>This upgrade is only valid for the Tablet 8100 using Android 2.3</li>
<li>Once the update is complete, it will not be possible to reverse the update.</li>
